Yesterday started off sunny and warm, and then the fog closed in on the fjord, and the water disappeared, cocooning the studio and house in a white blanket. And today it was cold enough to see my breath. I am loving the simplicity of my studio and the quietness of the day here. Being here is turning out to be an exercise in attention: quieting the voices in my head and the noise in my life, and making space for a more open mind. A few hours writing in the lounge every morning is a perfect prelude to the day and the studio.
